Tourism Ambassador Program Coordinator
The purpose of this job is to oversee industry partner outreach and engagement with new and existing industry partners. Supports the Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) Program and Convention and Visitors Bureaus (CVB) sales team through a variety of activities and events. Identifies potential industry partners and maintains relationships with existing industry partners, including hotels, restaurants, attractions, festivals, and businesses. Assists with facilitating CTAclasses, recruiting new CTAs, processing annual renewals, coordinating events, creating newsletters, developing programming, and maintaining awareness of tourism industry trends and community events. Plans, coordinates, and executes existing tourism-related events and identifies potential new events. Works with venue staff in reviewing budgets, meal planning, and invoicing / processing of payments. Works with sales and marketing teams to keep staff informed of new industry partners and participates in sales / hotel meetings. Assists in events and sponsorships for conferences and sporting events, attends Client Appreciation Calls, and conducts one-on-one visits with hotel properties. Acts as staff liaison to the Mid-Missouri Restaurant Association and serves as Secretary for the Board. Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function. Performs other duties as assigned.
