Job Description

The surgeon is a medical professional responsible for performing surgical procedures to treat injuries, diseases, and deformities. They evaluate patients' conditions, develop surgical plans, and execute complex operations with precision and skill. Surgeons collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. They provide post-operative care and follow-up assessments to monitor recovery, manage pain, and address any complications. Additionally, surgeons must maintain comprehensive medical records, stay informed on advancements in surgical techniques, and uphold the highest standards of patient care and ethical practice.

Key Responsibilities :

• Reviews patient records and makes diagnoses to determine if there is a need for surgery as a preventative or corrective measure.
• Assesses and provides patient with risk factors involved with going through or not going through with surgery.
• Performs surgical procedures to prevent or correct injury, diseases, deformities, patient function, and or quality of life following all regulatory and ethical protocols.
• Examines all instruments, equipment and the operating room to ensure sterility.
• Directs and coordinates activities of hospital staff including nurses, assistants, and specialist for proper patient care.
• Coordinate with CMO for treatment capabilities pre- and post-surgery and identify potential risks
• May be required to assist in stabilization of patient and coordination of evacuation of patient to medevac center or CONUS.
• Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
