Job Summary :

Akima Data Management is currently seeking Computer and Information Systems to join the team.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities :

Administers, develops, runs tests, implements, and maintains operating system and related software.

Operate an AWS GovCould hosting service with a collection of capabilities, tools, and services to provide a modern automated DevSecOps environment. The NBIS application is an enterprise mission system supporting personnel vetting.

Resolves software and networking problems. Provide tier 2 trouble ticket resolution or escalation to tier 3 team.

Provide quick and professional Tier 2 application support to include ticket triage, assignment, and resolution. Additionally, monitor system and service support trends and coordinate with existing Tier 1 and Tier 3 teams regularly to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate support.

Utilize ServiceNow to input, track and manage any issues for NBIS.

Performs work under general supervision and coordinate with other Tier support teams to share information and create knowledge articles with the goal of resolving tickets efficiently at the lowest possible tier.

Monitor NBIS and related applications using logs, dashboards, Tier support reports, and any other available sources to detect and react to events that effect usability, performance, and quality of the applications.

Use this information to find and report problems quickly, which will regulate the quantity of users impacted and service support tickets created.

Monitor the application support process to ensure timelines are met.

Handle complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.

Shift M-F (0600-1500 or 0900-1800) and the availability to work a remote Saturday rotating shift (0800-1400).

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree

1-3 years exp with Network / System Administration

Cloud services experience (preferably AWS)

Service desk ticketing system experience (ServiceNow preferred)

Clearance Required : Secret

IAT Level II certification (Typically Sec+)

Must be within commuting distance to Hanover, MD
