We are seeking an experienced travelling Field service technician for a long- term direct hire opportunity in the New England area (CT ME MA NH RI & VT)

PAY : $25-27 / h and $25-27 / h for travelling time. Lodging and airplane tickets are paid for.

PER DIEM : $75.00 per day worked

OVERTIME OPPORTUNITY!

HOURS : 7 : 00 am-3 : 30 pm (Mon to Friday)

Overview : Field Service Technician will support the installation maintenance and commissioning for gas detection equipment.

Responsibilities for Field Service Technician :

On-site Technical Services covering equipment installation troubleshooting maintenance and commissioning.
Installing electrical devices / gas detecting equipment
Running and pulling wire
Some termination and wire labeling for devices
Troubleshooting gas detection equipment
Review construction blueprints and work with Customers Architects and Installers to ensure systems are installed properly.
Professionally communicate project and service work status with Customers Project Managers Port Engineers Contractors and Consultants as directed

Qualifications for Field Service Technician :

3 years of experience in electrical or electronic assembly.

Occasional exposure to; heat / cold noise dust dirt and fumes

Occasionally lift carry push and pull up to 50lbs.

The ability to work at heights on ladders scissor lifts or roof tops.

Regularly sit stand walk bend talk hear and see use hands and fingers handle or feel objects climb stairs and ladders.

Technical aptitude electronics troubleshooting ability.

Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite

Familiar with FTP IP protocols serial communications and microcontrollers

Effective communications skills both verbal and written

Ability to work independently to diagnose and solve problems.

Education and experience required :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 3 years of mechanical electrical or electronic experience.

Minimum 1 year field experience as a service technician.

Preferred Requirements :

Associate degree in electronics or a related technical field OR equivalent military training.

HVAC / R experience.

Experience with Military Service .

Electronic Technician Electrician diploma / certification or Refrigeration Experience

Additional Requirements :

Must be eligible to work in the United States

Must have reliable transportation to the job site willing to travel.

Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
