Marketing Graphic Designer

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Billabong Marketing Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing the visual identity of our brand. You will work closely with the marketing team to create compelling graphics that resonate with our target audience, support our marketing campaigns, and reinforce our brand message. Your creativity and expertise will be instrumental in driving our marketing efforts and ensuring our brand stands out in the competitive action sports industry.

Graphic Design:

• Conceptualize, design, and produce visually striking graphics for various marketing channels, including digital, print, social media, email, and web.
• Responsible for executing all trade requests, prepping print files and sending to printer. Knowledge of printed materials and ability to properly communicate with printers is essential
• Work with Art Director and other designers on all digital marketing assets (Social media, site, email)
• Assist in building out all catalogs and trade guides each season

Brand Identity:

• Maintain and enhance the visual consistency of the brand across all marketing materials.
• Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and reflect the brand's tone, style, and values.

Campaign Support:

• Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and develop creative concepts for campaigns and product launches.
• Design and optimize landing pages, email templates, and other digital assets to support marketing initiatives.
• Assist in the creation of presentations and pitch decks for marketing strategies and campaigns.
• Able to assist in lifestyle and studio photoshoots

Project Management:

• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver designs that meet objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

This position requires some hours at our office in Costa Mesa, CA; however, some duties can be performed remotely.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in graphic design, preferably within the action sports or lifestyle industry.
• Passion for Surfing

Technical Skills:

• Advanced ability in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
• Experience with video editing and motion graphics is a plus.

Creative and Analytical Skills:

• A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually stunning designs.
• Ability to think creatively and translate ideas into visually appealing concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and feedback.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills in a fast paced global environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Maintain and update internal databases for designs, photography, and trade requests
• Proactive attitude during any down time to assist other designers on the team

Liberated Brands is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Costa Mesa, CA is $63,000 - $77,000. This position is Hybrid and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location.
