This district is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join its team for the remainder of the school year. This school-based position requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week and involves working with students from Pre-K through 12th grade. The SLP will be responsible for providing speech and language therapy services, conducting diagnostic and evaluative assessments, and developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The role includes addressing a wide range of communication needs such as articulation, voice, oral motor skills, feeding, receptive and expressive language, and social communication. Collaboration with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams is essential, as is maintaining accurate records and participating in IEP meetings and parent conferences. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide comprehensive speech and language services that support students' academic and social development. Responsibilities for this role include conducting assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students. The SLP will also develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with goals for students with speech and language needs. Throughout the course of the school year, they will provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings. They will monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. The SLP will also provide training and resources to teachers and staff on effective strategies to integrate speech therapy goals into the classroom environment.#ASHA

Required Qualifications

Speech / Language Pathologist, School Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Related Field Speech Therapist Clinical Fellows are Encouraged to Apply State License is Required to Start the Assignment Active Delaware Speech Language Pathologist License

Preferred Qualifications

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members. Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
