The primary role of a Warehouse Worker is to efficiently receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items within a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. The position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain organized storage areas.

Responsibilities

• Receive and count stock items, recording data manually or using computer systems.
• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
• Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, investigating discrepancies, and adjusting errors as necessary.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other designated areas.
• Label stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Keep records on the usage and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
• Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.

• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for effective local, state, or national security operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in roles such as Material Handler.
• Experience in picking and packing.

Work Environment

This role operates during Shift 1, from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM. You will be working in a warehouse environment, handling a variety of tasks related to inventory management and stock organization. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
