Radiologic Technologist
Work Location : Washington, DC
Work Hours : Full time, Day Shift
- Perform radiographic and other imaging procedures as prescribed by a physician.
- Instruct patients on proper physiological requirements for procedures.
- Prepare and administer barium when required.
- Ascertain area of injury or symptoms to assist in diagnosis.
- Recognize reactions to contrast media and administer CPR when necessary.
- Ensure all necessary consent forms are signed. Process exam-related information accurately.
- Assist in clerical and reception duties. Participate in quality assurance efforts.
- Reduce radiation exposure to a minimum. Comply with policies and procedures.
- Report equipment problems and perform maintenance.
- Take initiative for professional advancement.
- Maintain clean work area and comply with OSHA regulations.
- Promote positive image of the office. Maintain patient confidentiality.
Requirements :
Completion of training program in imaging technology from an accredited schoolAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists registrationCertification in CPR within one year of employment and annual renewalLicensure in Virginia
