California Licensed Deputy General Counsel

A company is looking for a Deputy General Counsel, Research.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice and analysis on regulatory, contracting, and strategic matters related to research

Draft, review, and negotiate various research-related contracts and agreements

Advise on compliance with laws and policies, and support investigations concerning research misconduct

Required Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school and a member in good standing of a State Bar

7-10 years of relevant experience advising on research matters, including academic medical centers

Experience managing outside counsel and handling internal investigations

Knowledge of health law and non-profit organizations is preferred

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
