ER Charge RN

Overview

The RN Charge Nurse will be responsible for coordinating the nursing care on their shift; Responsible for overseeing ER patient Flow. Focus will be on providing a safe, effective environment for patients and staff through increased communication and customer service.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS :

Supervised by : Director of Critical Care Services

Supervisor of : RN’s, LVN’s, Monitor Techs / Unit Secretaries and . Tech’s

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification.
• Must have one year experience in Emergency Department.
• Competent to perform services in triage, fast track (RTA), and main .
• Management of Assaultive Behavior completed within 90 days of hire.
• Dysrhythmia certification.
• Current NIHSS certification, or within 90 days of employment.
• 4 hour Stroke class within first 90 days of employment.
