[job_card.job_description]Start Date : ASAP End Date : Ongoing Coverage Type : Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call Schedule : Monday-Friday, hours per PD (refer to facility) Patients per Day : 16 Call Details : Beeper, response time 20-30 minutes, 1 : 6 call ratio EMR : Epic Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology ACLS and BLS Clean history Fellowship in Gastroenterology required Scope : Comprehensive Gastroenterology including inpatient and outpatient care Typical Procedures : Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery of bleeders - ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic) – preferred - PEG placement - Esophageal dilatation / manometry - Small bowel biopsy - Lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy (flexible), colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision - Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) – preferred - Liver biopsy – preferred - Sengstaken / Blakemore tube management
