Job Description

The Lab Technician plays a critical role in sample logging, testing, condition monitoring, and lab upkeep as part of the Quality team. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with the R&D team, handle samples, and perform production floor checks. Key responsibilities include lab testing, supporting blending and packaging functions of high-performance petroleum products, and ensuring reliability and conformance to specifications through instrumental analysis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor conditions, assist in running lab tests, and support the quality department.
• Perform tasks such as pipetting, titrations, fuel dilution, labeling, bar coding, and maintaining lab quality standards.
• Conduct lab tests throughout the full product lifecycle, including FTIR, Viscosity, Density, Pour-point, Cold Crank, XRF, and ICP.
• Calibrate, validate, and troubleshoot instruments.
• Manage sample receiving, in-process testing, result generation, and lab upkeep.
• Prepare results using the LIMS system and compile test reports as required.
• Maintain lab quality standards and document continuous results and other reports.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00 / hr.
