About the Role

We're looking for a Controller to build and lead our accounting function with an eye toward audit-readiness and eventual public-company standards. This is a foundational leadership role reporting to the VP of Finance, and you'll be instrumental in establishing the institutional rigor that supports our next phase of growth.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in building mode, not just operating within established systems. You'll partner closely with our Senior Director of FP&A and work cross-functionally with leaders across the company to ensure we have the financial infrastructure to scale. What You'll Do

• Act as a strategic thought partner to Finance leadership in building an accounting team to support reporting and compliance needs
• Own and continuously improve the month-end and quarter-end close process, driving toward a 5-day close
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Establish and document accounting policies, with particular focus on ASC 606 revenue recognition, expense recognition, stock-based compensation, and other technical areas
• Stay current on accounting standards and assess their impact on our financial reporting
• Serve as the technical accounting expert for complex or non-routine transactions
• Manage all aspects of general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions
• Prepare the company for its first external audit, managing auditor relationships and deliverables
• Design and implement internal controls that can scale toward SOX readiness
