School Social Worker | Elementary (K-2)

AnthroMed Education is seeking a compassionate and student-focused School Social Worker to support students in grades K-2 at our partner school in the desirable Ferndale, area for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.
You will serve as the sole School Social Worker for students in grades K-2 across the building. The caseload includes roughly 49 students, including support for 2 resource rooms, and 2 ASD classrooms within the school. The clinician will have their own private office space, the support of a behavioral interventionist in the building for general education students, and the opportunity to build meaningful connections in a role that makes a real difference every day.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect social work services to students in need of emotional, behavioral, and social support.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans and interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success.
- Facilitate small group and individual counseling sessions.
- Assist with crisis intervention and behavior management strategies.
- Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings to advocate for student needs.
- Support students and families in accessing community resource
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Michigan School Social Work Certification
- Must possess S310 form - approval to work in MI schools
- Experience working with school-aged children for one year
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
