Job Description

General Summary:Performs plumbing work including installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and heating systems.Essential Duties:
Installs new plumbing including pipes, valves, drains, basins, faucets, lavatories, sinks, drinking fountains, hot water heaters, and a variety of other plumbing fixtures and equipment;

Repairs plumbing systems including pipelines;

Repairs chilled and heated water systems;

Repairs various appliances including laundry and kitchen equipment;

Reads and interprets blueprints and written instructions;

Provides assistance to building maintenance as needed;

And confers with supervisor concerning construction, alteration, maintenance, and repair projects.

Other Duties as assigned.

Education Required:High school graduation or its equivalent; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Preferred:

Experience Required:At least three years of experience.Preferred:

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required:
Texas Journeyman Plumber's license.

Safe operation of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and written instructions; operate electrical and plumbing equipment; apply safety standards to prevent hazards; estimate time and materials for projects; communicate effectively; tolerate adverse working conditions; work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers.
