As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, the general ledger, and taxes.
- Implement and maintain accounting software to support AP, AR, and financial reporting.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and reporting discrepancies.
- Ensure accounting reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with GAAP and applicable financial legislation.
- Support quarterly review and year-end audit activities, working closely with external auditors.
- Evaluate current practices and procedures, recommending improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist with quarterly and annual SEC reporting requirements as needed.
- Develop, evaluate, and improve department controls, systems, and procedures.
- Become proficient in enterprise resource planning software and stay current with Master Control training requirements.
- Assist with year-end inventory audits.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, federal, and company regulations.
- Provide support to the Accounting Manager, Controller, and CFO on projects and other assigned duties.
Position Requirements
- Operate all necessary equipment and tools required in accounting operations.
- Read and interpret financial statements, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented and a team player with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Results-oriented with strong analytical skills.

- Excellent writing and organizational skills.
- Must possess a proficient ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English.
Education, Experience, and Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience; managerial accounting experience preferred.
- Experience in a publicly traded manufacturing company preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles.
- CPA or CMA preferred, but relevant work experience will be considered.
Working Environment
- Office environment, seasonally heated and cooled, with minimal noise levels.
- The position requires sitting, typing, and occasional lifting of objects under 25 pounds.
- Effective communication skills required, both orally and in writing, in person, telephonically, and via email.
