Position Summary

Our client is urgently seeking a Safety Coordinator / Safety Manager to support a busy construction operation in Rochester, NY. This role will provide hands-on safety leadership across multiple job sites, supporting 70–88 field employees and helping strengthen the company’s safety culture. Candidates can come from any industry, though construction experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily safety oversight across job sites supporting 70–88 field employees.
• Conduct site walks, hazard assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
• Lead orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training.
• Coach and mentor crews — willingness to train and elevate others is essential.
• Maintain all safety documentation, reporting, and OSHA compliance.
• Collaborate with operations, superintendents, and project leadership to identify risks and corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement and rollout of new safety initiatives.
