[job_card.job_description]Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities Prepare and analyze financial statements and presentations for leadership and the board Ensure compliance with US GAAP and oversee technical accounting matters Strengthen internal controls and improve processes to support scale Manage general ledger, reconciliations, cost accounting, and cash flow Serve as the primary point of contact for audits and external advisors Partner with FP&A, Treasury, and leadership on special projects and strategic initiatives Support acquisitions, integrations, and other growth-related activities as needed Drive automation and optimization within ERP and financial systems Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA strongly preferred) 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally blending public accounting and industry Strong background in financial reporting, consolidation, and technical accounting Deep knowledge of US GAAP Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop teams Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities Strong communication skills and comfort partnering with senior leaders High integrity and ability to handle confidential information A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement Competitive compensation and benefits High-impact role with executive visibility Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture Opportunity to grow with a company on an exciting trajectory Flexibility to be based in Chicago or Florida Candidates must be eligible to work in the US as well as meet the qualifications listed above in order to be considered for the Controller job.
