Role Summary :
As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver direct care to behavioral health patients, following the established policies and guidelines of our facility. Your expertise will help us foster a supportive and therapeutic environment.
Core Responsibilities :
Conduct thorough admitting and shift assessments on patients, focusing on their behaviors and overall condition.Utilize critical thinking to evaluate patient data and communicate any changes to the physician.Collaborate on the creation and evaluation of multidisciplinary treatment plans.Document all care accurately, adhering to nursing standards and facility policies.Implement and record physician orders diligently.Monitor patient and unit safety proactively.Serve as a clinical resource, supervising support staff and LPNs.Educate patients and their families based on their needs and document the information in the Electronic Health Record.Apply evidence-based practices to ensure care meets age-specific and clinical needs.Demonstrate professional nursing standards and the ANA Code of Ethics in all interactions.Maintain a vigilant and safe working state at all times.Perform additional duties as assigned.Education & Experience :
Graduate from an accredited nursing program; no prior experience required.Physical Requirements :
Ability to communicate effectively, stand, walk, and perform frequent lifting / carrying.Visual acuity for close and distant tasks, and the capacity to recognize sounds and odors.Occasional lifting of objects up to 50 lbs. and moving patients.Required Certifications :
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license in the appropriate state of practice.Work Schedule :
Night Shift, full-time (36 hours weekly)
