Substation General Foreman- Power & Energy

This position will safely lead the daily activites in the planning and supervision of electrical and mechanical work consistent with the project goals and the expected standards established by Cianbro.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, write and communicate daily activity plans, including hazard identification and safe work practices as well as ensure daily sign offs and document control occurs.
• Work together with project supervision on a daily basis to communicate production goals and quality specifications of work, discuss issues that have surfaced (around people, means and methods, material or equipment use, etc. extra or out of scope work), and ideas to help team achieve project goals.
• Participate in planning means and methods.
• Accurately record and report crew work hours and quantities installed. Monitor and manage crew productivity. Ensure ongoing efforts are made to improve productivity.
• Willing to hold Crew TM's accountable
• When rework is required, help team learn from any mistakes and accurately record costs.
• Help forecast equipment, materials or work force needs as required.
• Seeks solutions to special requests or problems with their work in a timely and professional manner.
• Understand the project cost code structure related to your work activities for time card purposes.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Leads by example in safety, quality and productivity
• Combinations of technical training and related experience in substation construction and maintenance.
• Minimum of five years construction management and/or craft supervision experience in substation work.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and communicate in a timely, effective manner.
• Electrical licensing in accordance with state requirements.
• Basic Computer Skills
