Greentree Manor is excited to invite passionate and skilled Culinary Specialists to become vital members of our food service team. In this rewarding role, you will create delicious, nutritious meals tailored to meet the dietary needs of our residents while adhering to established menus. We are looking for candidates who have a strong understanding of food safety, possess culinary skills, and can work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Food Preparation & Service

  • Craft meals and snacks following standardized recipes and dietary guidelines.
  • Deliver meals on schedule, ensuring proper portioning and temperature.
  • Assist with food preparation for therapeutic diets, special events, and alternative meal options.

Administrative Duties

  • Evaluate menus and inspect trays for dietary compliance.
  • Complete essential documentation and contribute to menu planning and updates.
  • Oversee dietary aides and collaborate with other departments and the facility dietitian.

    • Safety & Sanitation

  • Adhere to all infection control and sanitation protocols.
  • Ensure the kitchen, equipment, and food storage areas are clean and safe.
  • Promptly report hazardous conditions, equipment malfunctions, and accidents.

    • Team Collaboration

  • Promote a harmonious workplace for staff and residents.
  • Engage in training sessions, workshops, and in-service programs.
  • Assist with evacuation and emergency preparedness as required.

    • Qualifications :

    Education & Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Serve Safe or Sanitation Certification mandatory.

    • Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year in a hospital, skilled nursing, or comparable healthcare food service environment.
  • Prior supervisory experience is a plus.

    • Skills & Requirements

  • Ability to cook in large quantities while adhering to dietary guidelines.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledgeable in food safety standards, kitchen operations, and inventory management.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and during emergencies as necessary.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and fulfilling the physical demands of the role.
