[job_card.job_description]Education : Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Licensure : Active and valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Missouri. Certification : Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (preferred). Experience : Prior experience in speech therapy (preferred but not required). Skills : Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient-care skills. Certifications : CPR certification (preferred). PRN (as-needed) role with flexible scheduling options. Skilled Nursing Facility. Ability to work independently and provide high-quality, evidence-based care. Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team on an as-needed basis. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders, helping individuals improve their speech, language, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations to diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide therapy for patients with articulation, cognitive-communication, and swallowing difficulties.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on techniques to enhance communication and swallowing function.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational and physical therapists, physicians, and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and advancements in speech-language pathology.
