The Turnaround Cost Analyst will work for our client at the Pasadena, TX location.
The Timing / Duration for this role will be starting in mid-January 2026; position would work through the turnaround event and help with closeout (8+ months total duration).
Work Schedule : Pre TA 4-5 days / week; During TA 6-7 days / week
This position will report hard line & functionally to the Central Project Controls Cost Manager, and dotted line to the Turnaround Manager.
Responsibilities :
- Must have strong understanding of turnaround lifecycle and cost control principles.
- Ensure compliance with cost control procedures and practices.
- Lead the turnaround team in deriving an accurate and realistic forecast of all funds required to complete the turnaround within the defined budget and schedule while incorporating own trending and analysis.
- Track daily headcount, labor, per diem, equipment, and material costs.
- Prepare and issue daily / bi-weekly / weekly reports.
- Participate in cost meetings and assist with ad hoc requests.
- Set the expectation for vendor reporting and escalate to TA Manager / TA Leadership when the reporting is not being received timely.
- Enter PO requisitions, change order requisitions, and monitor burn rates to support forecasts.
- Review / audit invoices within TRACK and SAP as needed.
- Confirm final costs with vendors and close out purchase orders post turnaround.
Qualifications :
Education - College degree or coursework highly preferred. High school diploma or GED required.Minimum of 3-5+ of proven experience as a Turnaround Cost Analyst.Excellent organizational, analytical, written, and communication skills.Proficient in project budgeting and forecasting processes and procedures.Fast learner, self-motivated, and problem-solving team player with strong work ethic.Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following process and procedures.Proficient in SAP Maintenance module & TRACK software.Must demonstrate Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
