VCA Arboretum View Animal Hospital is expanding our General Practice / Primary Care team and is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician. We care for a wide variety of patients, including dogs, cats, and exotics, so your diverse skills will be put to great use!

Schedule : Full-time opportunity

Compensation : $20-$30 / hr (based on skill set, license, and years of experience).

About the Role :

Whether you are a seasoned Veterinary Technician or a recent graduate, we value the knowledge and dedication you bring. In this role, you will have the opportunity to :

• Collect patient histories and perform thorough physical exams
• Place IV catheters and perform venipuncture
• Prepare patients for surgery, monitor anesthesia, and provide postoperative care
• Perform dentals and dental radiographs
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Educate and communicate with clients effectively
• Assist with diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, and other diagnostic procedures
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and other prescribed treatments
• Collaborate with veterinarians, fellow veterinary technicians, and support staff to ensure excellent patient care
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training
• Care for a variety of patients, including exotics
