Job Title : Commercial Real Estate Attorney (5+ Years Experience)

Location : Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Job Type : Full-Time

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled and business-minded Commercial Real Estate Attorney with at least 5 years of transactional experience to join our Chicago-based team. This role will focus on complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development projects. Candidates with commercial lending experience will be strongly preferred.

This is a hybrid role, offering a flexible schedule with a combination of in-office and remote work. You'll work closely with a collaborative group of attorneys and clients in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, and joint venture agreements

Provide legal guidance on property acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects

Support due diligence efforts including title and survey review

Represent borrowers and / or lenders in real estate finance transactions

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, and external counsel to drive transactions forward

Maintain a high level of responsiveness and client service

Qualifications :

J.D. from an accredited law school; active license to practice in Illinois

5+ years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions

Demonstrated experience with lending or real estate finance is a significant plus

Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills

Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary starting at $140,000, commensurate with experience
