The Accounting Manager oversees the accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and tax obligations. This role is pivotal in managing the month-end close process and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Duties / Responsibilities :

Month End Close

  • Complete all miscellaneous account reconciliations.
  • Post all accruals and adjustments.
  • Manage all self-insured health insurance adjustments and reconciliations.
  • Review trial balances.

    • Financials

  • Maintain Cash Model (CapEx) in Smartsheet.
  • Financial analysis as needed.
  • Maintain 4-week cash forecast.
  • Assist with yearly Audit.

    • Payroll

  • Validate payroll bimonthly before finalized.
  • Post payroll journal entries.
  • Confirm HSA reconciliation.

    • Sales and Use Tax

  • Research sales and use tax in new states.
  • Remit sales and use taxes monthly / quarterly / as due.
  • Maintain tax tracker.
  • Collection exemption certificates, as needed.

    • Intacct

  • Project / vendor / customer / new user setup.
  • Maintain Intacct configurations.
  • Create various Intacct reports for analysis.

    • Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • Manage Accounts Payable Processor

    • Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Intacct and Smartsheet.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and tax regulations.
  • Experience in budget management and financial forecasting.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Normal periods of sitting and standing in an office environment.
  • Extended periods of sitting at a workstation / desk in an office environment.
