Pay Rate : $28 / hr
Shift / Hours : 1st Shift (MST), Monday–Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM
JOB SUMMARY :
The Phlebotomist – Floater (Patient Services Representative III) serves as the face of the organization across multiple patient service locations. This role is responsible for performing high-quality phlebotomy , preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring strict adherence to established procedures, patient confidentiality, and accuracy standards. The position requires strong clinical skills, flexibility, and the ability to adapt quickly in a high-volume, multi-site environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Perform daily phlebotomy and specimen processing activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established practices and procedures
Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties with confidence
Explain procedures clearly to patients while creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence
Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signatures post-venipuncture to confirm correct specimen labeling
Maintain required records and documentation with attention to accuracy and confidentiality
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
Demonstrate leadership behaviors, organizational commitment, and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public
Travel between doctor’s offices, patient service centers, and in-office phlebotomy locations with minimal notice
Participate in training at locations that may vary based on trainer availability
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE :
Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment
NICE-TO-HAVE EXPERIENCE :
Minimum of two (2) years in a Patient Service Center environment
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment
REQUIRED SKILLS :
Phlebotomy (pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections)
Specimen collection, processing, and labeling verification
Patient communication and customer service
PREFERRED SKILLS :
Medical assistant or paramedic training
Keyboarding and data entry skills
Multi-site scheduling and time management
ADDITIONAL SKILLS :
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable)
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
Commitment to company policies, dress code, Employee Health & Safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles
Ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients
Willingness to adapt quickly to change and evolving business needs
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS :
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington )
