Job Overview
As a member of our esteemed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team, you will collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care. Your role will involve conducting comprehensive nursing assessments, assisting with examinations and treatments, providing patient education, and maintaining medical records. Our hiring structure is based on years of experience : newly licensed, less than 1 year, 1-3 years, 3-10 years, and 10+ years.
Join a remarkable team of Critical Care RNs known for their supportive environment at Memorial Hermann Southwest, where you will work alongside outstanding leaders in our 13-bed CVICU unit with 24 / 7 intensivist coverage and ANCC Magnet designation.
- Mandatory : 1-2 years of recent critical care ICU experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Education : Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
Licenses / Certifications :
Current State of Texas license or temporary / compact license to practice professional nursing.Certified in Basic Life Support.Additional certifications may be required based on specific discipline and / or nursing unit requirements.Experience / Knowledge / Skills :
RN IRN II = 1-3 yearsRN III = 3-10 yearsRN IV = 10+ yearsKey Responsibilities
Provide safe and appropriate patient care according to established nursing skills and the unique needs of the patient population.Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan and deliver nursing care while making informed clinical decisions.Direct and delegate tasks within the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes based on data and evidence-based practices.Coordinate treatment plans; develop and implement discharge and transfer plans.Engage in ongoing evaluations of programs, processes, and desired patient-centered outcomes.Address the diverse needs of each patient throughout their care journey, ensuring compliance with service standards for an optimal patient experience.Adhere to all regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards.Perform other duties as assigned within your scope of practice and clinical expertise.Ensure patient, staff, and visitor safety; comply with all Memorial Hermann policies and standards, managing resources effectively.Promote your professional development by meeting continuing education requirements and supporting departmental goals; serve as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.Demonstrate commitment to delivering compassionate and personalized care experiences, embodying Memorial Hermann's service standards.Other duties as assigned.
