Java Architect

Akkodis is seeking a Java Architect for a Contract with a client in San Jose, CA / Scottsdale, AZ. The ideal candidate must have Java architecture experience with deep expertise in JDBC, ORM internals, and advanced SQL for analyzing large legacy systems.

Rate Range : $49 / hour to $51 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Architect job responsibilities include :

• Analyze large Java codebases to extract embedded SQL, transaction scopes, and implicit assumptions such as ordering, locking, and isolation.
• Reverse engineer application behavior to reconstruct logical transactions and business workflows into intent-based contracts.
• Normalize SQL queries into reusable signatures and map them to tables, columns, and transaction units for compatibility assessment.
• Collaborate with Oracle and Spanner architects to validate runtime behavior and assess migration feasibility.
• Create detailed artifacts including SQL signature libraries, transaction behavior maps, and app-to-data dependency graphs.
• Support QA teams by providing realistic workload replay inputs and identifying compatibility risk flags for legacy systems.

Pay Details : $49.00 to $51.00 per hour
