Job Summary

Patient Services Manager - Food & Nutrition Services

Location: University of Miami Hospital (500-bed acute care facility)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays

Overview:

Join our dynamic team at the University of Miami, where we proudly serve patients, staff, and visitors in a world-class healthcare environment. We are seeking a Patient Services Manager to oversee the patient service line within our Food and Nutrition Department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the patient service line, included but not limited to the call center, diet office, tray line, and tray delivery staff.

• Lead, coach, and develop team members to ensure exceptional service and compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Participate in broader departmental responsibilities such as inventory management, ordering, scheduling, audits, and peer reviews.

• Maintain clear and effective communication with satellite teams and collaborate across departments.

• Oversee meal service operations for both the main hospital and affiliated centers, including an inpatient cancer center and ambulatory eye hospital.

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience in food and nutrition or healthcare foodservice operations.

• Strong organizational, communication, and coaching skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Certified Dietary Manager certificate, Registered Diet Technician or Registered Dietitian, preferred

• ServSafe® certified, desirable

• Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft office applications, electronic medical record, and diet office systems

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday-Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays required.
