License : Active MD or Compact License required

Certifications : Certification required

Must-Have :

BLS / ACLS / PALS AHA only

Previous charge experience preferred

Satisfactory professional references required

Comfortable floating within the hospital without restrictions

Description :

The position requires 5x8 hour shifts during the day.

Weekends may be needed, and there is no on-call requirement.

A certification in sterile processing is required.

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities include :

Demonstrating proficiency in aseptic techniques.

Handling various sterilization processes including steam sterilization and high-level disinfection.

Properly assembling surgical instrument trays and packs.

Using automated endoscope reprocessors and ultrasonic cleaners.

Maintaining documentation related to equipment and sterilization processes.

Familiarity with a wide variety of medical equipment including scopes, trays, and implants.

Work will be performed in a fast-paced environment.

Daily census can range from 6 to 22 cases depending on specialty mix.

Candidates must be able to effectively communicate within an interdisciplinary team.

Flexibility in scheduling and duties is essential, as there may be changes based on department needs.
