The Wellness Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive wellness initiatives and strategies to ensure the wellbeing of the residents at the community. The Wellness Director must also be able to lead a team of healthcare providers practically and by example.

    • Wellness Director Responsibilities :

  • Oversee residents’ overall health and wellness programs.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing health assessments.
  • Create and update individualized care / service plans.
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition and coordinate interventions.
  • Serve as liaison between residents, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Ensure complaince with regulations
  • Manage medication administration systems and audits
  • Respond to emergencies and provide direct care when needed
  • Supervise nursing staff, caregivers, and medication aides.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, facility policies, and standards of care.
  • Hire, train, and mentor wellness / nursing staff.
  • Schedule and manage staffing to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Provide ongoing staff education on resident care, safety, and wellness practices.

    • Wellness Director Qualifications :

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in eldercare service or nursing experience with demonstrated knowledge of residential care, eldercare, and customer service principles and practices.
  • Must be an LPN or Registered Nurse.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate wellness programs.
  • A good understanding of health and well-being issues.
  • Knowledge of health promotion strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Computer literacy.
