Patient Care Volunteer in Seal Beach

We are seeking compassionate and caring individuals to join our team of volunteers who provide emotional, social, and practical support to hospice patients and their families. As a patient care volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact by offering companionship, respite care, and a comforting presence to individuals in the final stages of life.

Volunteer Responsibilities :

• Provide companionship and emotional support to hospice patients at least once a month, helping them feel seen and heard
• Offer respite care to family members, giving them a much-needed break while ensuring their loved one remains safe and comfortable
• Assist with light housekeeping, running errands, or other non-medical tasks that support the patient's comfort.
• Provide a calming presence and engage in activities such as reading, playing music, or simply talking
• Help with end-of-life care being present with patients and offering comfort during this sensitive time.
