Job Description

As a Security Officer - Logistics Screening Entry in Theodore, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, managing access control, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Screen individuals and / or vehicles entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any irregularities.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of personnel and / or visitors as per site requirements.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with site staff, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
