Intern Opportunity At UPMC Corporate Marketing
UPMC Corporate Marketing is hiring an intern to join our team for Summer 2026! The intern will work as a vital member of the Marketing Intelligence team to address marketing strategy and data analysis issues across clinical and corporate marketing for UPMC. This position provides data analysis for marketing projects (e.g. demographics, psychographics, audience and insight analysis, capacity and competitive analysis), and measurement of marketing initiatives (e.g., success, failure and revisions to initiatives based on KPIs and metrics) to support a portfolio of corporate needs, service line, and hospitals / facilities, and member needs.
This role will primarily work onsite with some remote flexibility after training has been completed. The intern will work Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Responsibilities
- Work closely with Managers / Lead Analysts to provide data analysis for marketing projects (e.g., demographics, psychographics, audience and insight analysis, capacity, and competitive analysis)
- Measurement of marketing initiatives (e.g., success, failure and revisions to initiatives based on KPIs and metrics) to support a portfolio of corporate needs, service line, hospitals / facilities, and member needs.
- Works with managers and project leads to synthesize research and data findings into actionable consumer insights to inform marketing campaigns.
- Provide management of various data sources to expand and manage our data assets
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize projects appropriately
- Demonstrate service-oriented behavior in interactions with clients and co-workers
- Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies / behaviors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Working toward a bachelor's or master's degree in a health care or business program preferred.Quantitative experience with business analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, data science, or related field preferred.Excellent written and oral skills preferred.Strong statistical background with sound analytical / computational skills preferred.Ideally, knowledge of database management using SQL preferred.Act 34 UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Veteran
