Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Advanced Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will deliver exceptional, patient-centered respiratory care, in alignment with departmental needs and industry standards. As an essential member of the care team, you will conduct diagnostic procedures and manage patients on both invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.

What you will do in this role :

  • Perform and document thorough patient assessments, evaluating breath sounds and airway effectiveness.
  • Administer a variety of respiratory therapies, including oxygen delivery and aerosolized medications.
  • Assist with the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation settings.
  • Monitor patients' responses to therapies, intervening when necessary and communicating with providers.
  • Support the transportation of patients requiring mechanical ventilation.
  • Act effectively in emergency situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation when needed.

    • What qualifications you will need :

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from NBRC.
  • State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist / Practitioner.
  • Completion of a vocational program, Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, Certificate, or Master's Degree in a relevant field.
