Cloud Engineer | Ayer, MA | $125k-$145k | Hybrid (4 days on-site)

About the Role

In this role, youll be responsible for shaping and maintaining a modern Microsoft-based infrastructure that blends cloud and on-site systems. Youll enhance security, streamline operations through automation, and ensure our technology foundation is dependable and efficient. Collaboration with both technical and business teams will be central to your success.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and secure Azure-based infrastructure that scales with the business
  • Build and maintain reliable network connectivity and security
  • Oversee device management, identity protection, and Microsoft 365 policies
  • Lead threat detection and response initiatives
  • Ensure systems are backed up, patched, and always ready for recovery
  • Monitor and manage cloud costs with a strategic mindset
  • Communicate transparently and document clearly
  • Promote teamwork and a culture of learning

Candidates Must Have

  • Over seven years of real-world experience building and supporting Azure and hybrid identity environments
  • Skilled in automation and infrastructure design using scripting and IaC tools such as PowerShell, Bicep, or Terraform
  • Strong understanding of network architecture, connectivity, and firewall management
  • Hands-on background in cloud and endpoint protection, including Microsoft 365 security and modern detection / response platforms
  • Communicates clearly, documents thoroughly, and maintains a professional, detail-oriented approach
