We are seeking a Medical Assistant - Podiatry for our Palm Bay office to become a part of our team! The Medical Assistant will be responsible for supporting the physician with a range of clinical and administrative tasks. You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical office running smoothly. The ideal candidate will have podiatry or orthopedic experience as well as x-ray, a passion for helping others, strong clinical skills, and the ability to thrive in a busy and energetic setting. You will work closely with experienced providers to deliver comprehensive care to our patients.

Responsibilities :

• Deliver exceptional care to the patients
• Performs essential and assigned daily clinical duties
• Medical History and Medication reconciliation
• Chart preparation
• Assist during medical examinations and procedures
• Clinical intake of patient's complaint and vitals
• Casting and Splinting and DME
• Surgery scheduling & coordination
• Post op care, Suture / Staple removal
• Clinical patient phone calls and call triage
• Accurately document patient's health information in system
• Scribing for provider
• Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations
• Maintains strict confidentiality
• Process prescription refills as directed by physician
• Treats co-workers, medical providers, patients, and visitors with dignity and respect
• Preparation, cleaning and stocking of exam rooms.
• Performs other related duties as needed and assigned
• Injection & Radiology authorizations
• FMLA & Disability, DWC (work comp) paperwork
