JOB TITLE : Cook

REPORTS TO : Director of Nutritional Services

POSITION SUMMARY : This job requires that the employee to prepare patients’ meal, following therapeutic recipes, ensuring that department standards and compliance with all safe food handling regulations are met. This Job will also require the employee to cross train in all areas of the department including, but not limited to, cook, dishwasher, clerk (menu processing, tray line), S1 (Starter 1), S2 (Starter 2), KA (Kitchen Aid), chef, cashier, sandwich cart, and store room clerk, as well as other duties as assigned. Processing menus. Performs all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE : High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of one year of healthcare dietary experience is required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : Food Handler permit required. ServSafe certification preferred.
