Legal Coordinator – Housing Compliance
Overview :
EqualAccess is hiring a Legal Coordinator on behalf of our client, a Bronx-based housing provider committed to tenant rights and legal compliance. This role is great for someone interested in housing law, tenant advocacy, or compliance operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist with nonpayment proceedings and legal filings
Prepare and track legal documentation (stipulations, affidavits, etc.)
Maintain logs and calendars for legal and compliance deadlines
Respond to tenant inquiries regarding rent disputes and legal issues
Coordinate with internal departments to compile court documentation
Communicate with legal counsel and external advocacy groups
Process rental assistance payments from HRA and other agencies
Qualifications :
Administrative or legal support experience is helpful but not required
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive tenant matters professionally
Familiarity with NYC housing court is a plus
Spanish language skills are a bonus

Salary Range : $50,000 – $55,000 / year
