We are seeking an experienced
Hematology / Oncology
Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in New York. This 1-week opportunity starts on Jan 2, 2026, with orientation followed by clinical work beginning Jan 5, 2026. The schedule consists of four day shifts per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 : 00 am to 6 : 00 pm. The ideal candidate will provide ambulatory sickle cell outpatient coverage and must demonstrate recent competence in chemotherapy and biotherapy prescribing.

Assess, diagnose, monitor, and manage care for patients with all types of cancer and benign or malignant tumors and diseases in an ambulatory settingProvide outpatient coverage for sickle cell patientsDemonstrate competence in administeringchemotherapy / biotherapy,
with at least 10 administrations in the past 12 months
Prescribe chemotherapy and biotherapy as appropriatePerform history and physical examinations, including pelvic exams as neededOrder and interpret diagnostic tests and therapeutic modalities within specialty scopeImplement therapeutic interventions for specific conditionsPerform arterial punctures and blood gas samplingConduct debridement and general care for superficial wounds and minor surgical proceduresIncise and drain superficial abscessesInsert and remove non-weighted nasogastric or oro-gastric tubesComplete death certificate protocolsRemove central venous cathetersAdditional Information
Valid New York nurse practitioner license requiredRequired board certifications : Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGACNP-BC), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGPCNP-BC), Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANP-BC), Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP)Required certifications : ARC-PA accreditation, ACLS, BCLSRecent experience inchemotherapy / biotherapy
