Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

Profession: RN

Hours per Shift: 12 hours

Experience: Minimum of 2 years Med Surg experience required. Float Pool experience preferred.

License: Active RN license in ND or Compact state required.

Certifications: BLS certification from AHA required.

Must-Have:
Active RN license in ND or Compact state.
Minimum of 1 year Med Surg experience.
Experience in a fast-paced hospital with 250+ beds.
EPIC experience required.
Willing to float within the Med Surg Cluster and between campuses.

Description:
Candidates must have experience working within a Level 2 or higher trauma center.
Candidates will perform head-to-toe assessments, medication administration by various routes, care plan formulation/documentation, and wound/line/drain care.
Equipment utilized in this role includes Epic EMR, Accudose Rx, Alaris IV pumps, and Philips vitals machines.
Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of recent Med Surg experience in a busy hospital setting with a minimum of 200 beds.
Candidates with previous float pool experience will be prioritized.
Shifts are 12 hours in length, with every other weekend and holiday required.
When called in for a shift, candidates will find out which unit they will be working on that day.
The role involves floating to various units/departments, including oncology, general med-surg, trauma med-surg, cardiac, neuro, observation, medical behavioral, and innovations.
The bed size of units may range from 24 to 47, and the nurse-to-patient ratio will be 1:4-5 from 7 AM to 11 PM and 1:5-6 from 11 PM to 7 AM.
Training includes time spent on different med-surg units and campus tours during the first week of hire.
Candidates must meet the specified training and orientation program requirements.
The client may cancel shifts under specified conditions.
