Advertised Job Summary:The Department of Pharmacology, Physiology and Neuroscience at the University of South Carolina (USC) School of Medicine in Columbia, SC invites applications from candidates with outstanding teaching credentials to contribute to medical and graduate instruction in pharmacology, physiology, and neuroscience-based courses. New faculty members will join a highly successful, collegial, and collaborative neuroscience-focused department at a Carnegie R1 research university that has achieved national prominence in research, education, and community engagement. The successful candidate is expected to participate in medical and graduate teaching as an instructor and/or course director, as well as help lead innovations in our medical and graduate educational programs and curricula. Candidates will join a strong team of dedicated biomedical educators. If interested, candidates will also have the opportunity to participate in departmental research programs that focus on studying the molecular or cellular mechanisms underlying physiological processes, behavior, or drug action (see http://ppn.med.sc.edu/). This is a full-time professional track appointment, with rank open commensurate with experience and necessary credentials.
