POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

Aligned Solutions is seeking a Solar Staff Accountant for a well respected company. The Solar Staff Accountant I is responsible for performing general ledger reconciliations for multiple entities, while maintaining and entering corporate-level journal entries. This role collaborates across teams to ensure financial integrity and supports financial reporting efforts in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform general ledger reconciliations for assigned accounts / companies

Enter and update corporate-related journal entries

Maintain and update fixed asset records

Update monthly reconciliations

Prepare interim financial statements for related companies

Assist with year-end external audit and tax returns

Respond to inquiries, conduct research as needed, participate in special projects, and provide ad-hoc financial analysis

Assist in the preparation of division and project budgets, including monitoring variances between budgeted and actual expenditures

Conduct monthly closing activities by ensuring all journal entries are posted on time and aligned with the financial close calendar

Assist in the management of deposits, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts receivables, accruals, and reserves to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance

Assist in the preparation of financial statements

Review and reclassify overhead accounts monthly

Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required

1–3 years of work experience in a Financial Accounting department

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

Thrives under pressure in a fast-paced environment

High attention to detail with strong multi-tasking ability

Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required
