CAD Designer

Talascend is seeking CAD Designer for a contract opportunity located in Tempe, AZ. This role will create and modify electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical. The role focuses on designing instrumentation cabinets, enclosures, cable layouts, and relay circuits. The engineer may also evaluate products, components, and processes for cost efficiency and reliability, ensuring timely project completion in collaboration with the broader engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and modify electrical drawings (AutoCAD Electrical)
• Create layouts for cabinets, enclosures, cables, and relay circuits
• Support cost and reliability assessments of designs
• Work cross-functionally to meet production timelines
• May lead or direct the work of junior engineers or drafters
• Exercise creativity and problem-solving in design tasks

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 2–4 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Creativity and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
