Job Title : Shop Helper (Contract) Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shop Helper to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves general labor support across various departments such as fabrication, grinding, painting, and shipping. The ideal candidate will be flexible and willing to assist in moving parts between departments, polishing metal, and preparing materials for shipping.

Responsibilities

• Support various departments including fabrication, grinding, paint, and shipping.
• Help with moving parts between departments and maintain flexibility in tasks.
• Cross-train in different areas to provide comprehensive support.
• Polish metal as required.
• Prepare materials for shipping and ensure that staging areas are organized.

Work Environment

This position is based in a heavy manufacturing site with both outdoor and indoor shop areas. Please note that indoor areas do not have air conditioning. You will be working with steel and aluminum parts used for concert venue stages, and you may also support the rental side of the business. The site comprises three large buildings located close to each other, offering ample opportunities for overtime.

This is a Contract position based out of Torrance, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00 / hr.
