Job Summary
As an Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will assess patients and develop tailored treatment plans based on evaluation results, which include measurements of neuromuscular and skeletal functions. You will provide direct patient care, document findings, track progress, and offer guidance to patients and caregivers. You may also assist senior therapists and leadership with program development and provide training to students, interns, and staff. You will be responsible for ensuring quality care provided by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education : Bachelor's or graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university-based program.
- Licenses / Certifications :
- Current or temporary license to practice Physical Therapy by Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners or by the Physical Therapy Compact Commission.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills :
Ability to perform occasional / frequent pushing and lifting 75 - 100 pounds and carrying up to 30 pounds; prolonged standing; frequent walking, stooping, and squatting.Fine hand dexterity and eye-hand coordination, effective communication skills, and the ability to interpret visual information are essential.Principal Accountabilities
Take full responsibility for patient care by conducting comprehensive evaluations, accurately interpreting findings, and developing actionable care plans.Implement physical therapy programs, conduct regular assessments, and adjust treatment goals as necessary, motivating and instructing patients and caregivers effectively.Collaborate with patients, caregivers, and colleagues, including physicians and insurance representatives, ensuring clear communication.Present special topics from professional literature at clinic meetings and other forums as needed.Manage your time effectively to ensure high-quality patient care.Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to all Memorial Hermann policies, including budgetary standards.Contribute to personal professional growth through continuous education and support departmental goals.Foster a compassionate and personalized approach to care, embodying Memorial Hermann's service standards.
