Assistant Estimator (Commercial HVAC) – Your Job Duties

You will work as a team of 3 estimators, growing and mentoring alongside the team performing estimates for large mechanical / commercial public works projects across California. You will :

• Review plans, specifications, and addenda to prepare mechanical / commercial takeoffs
• Perform quantity surveys, breakouts, and data entry using Bluebeam and estimating software
• Attend job walks with the Senior Estimator and assist with field notes, scope verification, and documentation (local only, no overnight travel)
• Prepare scope sheets, organize vendor and subcontractor quotes, and clarify bid requirements
• Update bid logs, track deadlines, and support preparation of final bid packages
• Collaborate with internal teams to confirm project details, timelines, and scope requirements
• Assist with cost research, labor and material pricing, and historical project data management
• Support the Senior Estimator in all phases of estimating, from early RFIs to bid day execution

Your compensation for this Junior Estimator role will be $95,000 to $110,000 annually , dependent on your knowledge and estimating experience.

You will work on site in the San Francisco office , with a dedicated parking space, at no cost to you.
