Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and licensed rehabilitation professional to join our team as a Director of Rehabilitation Trainee. This role is for a licensed PTA, COTA, PT, OT, or SLP professionals looking to advance their careers in healthcare management and clinical leadership. The position offers an opportunity to develop management skills within a dynamic healthcare environment, overseeing rehabilitation services while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting clinical operations, managing staff, and contributing to the overall quality of patient care across various settings including acute care, outpatient clinics, and long-term care facilities. The candidate would transition to the Director of Rehab for the facility once training is complete. The DOR position would have a higher pay rate and an aggressive bonus plan.
- Responsibilities
- Assist in the supervision and coordination of rehabilitation staff including PTs, OTs, SLPs, and assistants to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Support fiscal management activities such as budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, JCAHO standards, and other regulatory requirements related to medical records, medical terminology, and healthcare management.
- Oversee management tasks including scheduling, documentation accuracy using EMR / EHR systems like NetHealth and PointClickCare.
- Contribute to practice management by supporting human resources functions such as staff training, performance evaluations, and office management.
- Assist in utilization management and managed care processes to ensure appropriate patient care pathways are followed.
- Support medical administrative functions including billing processes and insurance verification within a clinical setting.
- Participate in quality assurance activities related to medical records accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and accreditation standards such as JCAHO.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across acute care settings or veterinary environments if applicable to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Skills
- Valid licensure as PTA, COTA, PT, OT, or SLP with current credentials in good standing.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare regulations including HIPAA.
- Experience with EMR / EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft.
- Proven supervisory or management experience within healthcare or clinic environments.
- Knowledge of fiscal management including budgeting and financial oversight.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with clinical staff and administrative teams.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and healthcare practices while maintaining compliance with industry standards. Pay : $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
