Field Service Engineer (CNC Install and Repair)

The Job

A Field Service Engineer contributes to the success of Hartwig by keeping our customers' CNC machine tools running at peak operating levels by performing preventive maintenance.

This is a great entry level opportunity for someone with mechanical maintenance experience who wants to learn about CNC machines. Main responsibilities of this full-time role based in the Kansas City, MO area include :

• Conduct efficient and timely preventive maintenance to include changing fluids, filters and checking accuracy of calibrations
• Recommend maintenance modifications and improvements to machines, equipment and processes
• Train and instruct customers on preventive maintenance best practices
• Responsible for helping with any service tool tracking on tools utilized
• Schedule preventive maintenance customer visits
• Increase field sales by promoting the PM program and other opportunities
• Conduct inventory counts
• Ability to complete necessary tasks in our service software and timecard system on a daily basis
• Traveling to customer sites, usually within 2 hours from home, with occasional overnight travel
